Abdul Awal Mintoo

Abdul Awal Mintoo (born 1950) is a Bangladeshi businessman and industrialist. He is the chairman of Multi Industries Limited, one of Bangladesh's largest garment and textile companies. He has been a prominent figure in the country's garment industry. Born in Mymensingh district, Mintoo entered the garment industry in the 1980s. He built Multi Industries into a major exporter of garments, supplying to major international brands. The company operates multiple factories and employs thousands of workers. Mintoo has been active in business associations, serving as the president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). He has been a vocal advocate for the garment industry and has worked to improve working conditions and compliance standards.
